Former ice-maker has been replaced with a glass-front refrigerator.

The Main Deck layout features a Galley and Helm that are open to the Salon.  A spiral staircase aft and to port leads down to the Master Stateroom. Dining table and chairs are forward of the staircase with sectional seating and cocktail tables aft and starboard. Moving forward in the Salon, to starboard is another staircase that leads up to the spacious Flybridge. Amidships and to port is the open Galley with Helm opposite just beyond the Flybridge stairs, with full instrumentation. Starboard is another staircase leading to the two VIP & Guest Staterooms below, with access to the stand-up Engine Room.

Doors port (Galley) and starboard (Helm) amidships lead to the side decks and to the foredeck. There is a small aft deck with a ladder leading to the swim platform for dock access and additional line handling.

Custom Upper Deck Outdoor Living Space and Tender Storage

This example has been recently customized to quickly turn the upper tender storage deck area into a generous outdoor living area:

- The tender's cradles have been made so they connect to the deck through recessed fittings with quick-connect pins. After launching the tender using the electric hoist, the cradles can be removed and stowed in a few minutes.

-  The Tender cradles have been relocated so the tender sits along the centerline and longitudinally with the yacht. This makes for better weight distribution to prevent any listing due to heavier outboard and also looks better.

- A series of removable stanchions with lifelines are inserted into recessed deck fittings to provide safety for guests on deck.

- A large outdoor carpet is rolled out across the deck.

- Wicker furniture is placed around deck.

- The conversion takes about 15 minutes and is well worth doing to add the outdoor living area when at dock or anchor for a while.

- The Hard Bottom Inflatable shown in pics has been sold and is NOT included.

Engine Notes

The Detroit 6-71 TIB 485 HP Diesels do not have hour meters and have been conservatively estimated at 625 hours since they were completely overhauled in 2007. The current owners purchased vessel soon after the overhaul and reported an estimated 450 hours on a 2014 survey with an additional 50 hours each in 2014 & 2015 and 30 hours per season since.

The current owner is a marine service professional and as such ensures engines and all mechanical systems receive proper routine service including annual oil samples which show everything has been consistently normal under his ten year stewardship of the yacht..

He only cruises the Detroits at 1700 RPM (70%), making a comfortable 12 kts (13.5 mph). This is notable for a couple reasons: The engine life of these turbo boosted Detroits can be more than doubled by keeping the turbo's boost at a modest level compared to many who cruise theirs at 2000 - 2200 RPM plus. The semi-displacement hull rides very easily & comfortably at 12 kts without any unwanted motions. It is the right way to run these boats and this knowledgeable owner gets it.

That said he also occasionally will open up the turbo Detroits to wide open, 2500 RPM, for about 30 seconds to makes sure they reach full RPM and temperatures are in the normal range just as a test of propulsions system's health. At wide open the boat can reach 17 knots (19 mph) depending on tankage & sea state.

An Oil Change Pump in engine compartment makes oil changes cleaner and easier for yourself or a mechanic.

Plumbing Features

- This boat has a total of 230 gallons of water storage through the standard 150 gallon water tank stored under the owner's berth aft and an added 80 gallon water tank under the VIP berth forward. Valves in the engine room control water feed from each of the tanks.

- A city-water connection feeds the ship when at dock. Furthermore, switching a valve in the engine room allows you to fill your water tanks through the city water connection rather than having to fill the tanks through the deck plate fills.

- The three Galley Maid Electric heads have been upgraded to be run off of sea water or the house fresh water selectable by valves. Flushing with fresh water helps keep odors from forming in heads, holding tank and most importantly, the hoses. That extra water storage capacity has its benefits.

- All head hoses, fittings and the holding tank were recently replaced at approx. $10,000.

Some Yacht History

The current owner is a professional in the marine service industry. He and his wife have owned the vessel for about ten years, upgrading most electrical & mechanical systems as well as improving the living spaces with new carpeting and furniture, and customizing the upper deck into a large outdoor living area. They have not been live-aboards so showings and transition to a new owner should be fairly easy.

The prior owners were an older couple who kept the yacht at Essex Island Marina in Essex, CT. They did not take the boat out of the slip much, using it mostly as a waterfront summer condo. They had the engine overhauls performed in 2007 not long before selling to the current owners. History prior to this is unknown.

The current owners have cruised to all the typical Southern New England ports a few times over the years and are selling to pursue other interests. 2016 cruises were to Nantucket and Newport and some more local jaunts. They will continue to properly maintain and use the yacht until sold including commissioning this spring, but their use is expected to be less than in prior seasons.

Recent Survey

The current owners changed insurance providers in 2014 so commissioned a "Condition & Value Survey of the Vessel" by Johnson Marine Services, which is available upon request.

There were only two survey recommendations, both 2nd priority items, which were both resolved by the owner:

Uncovered fuse holders below the inverter was replaced with a proper holder & fuses.

Tired drain hose running along port side of engine compartment was replaced with new.

The appraised value in 2014 was $180,000 with over $40,000 in upgrades and improvements since then including:

New Garmin Electronics Package

New Carpeting in Salon

New Furniture in Salon

Two New Battery Banks with Individual Smart Chargers

New Holding Tank, Fittings & Hoses

Old aluminum Salon windows replaced with new 'Lookout' Fiberglass windows

Photos, Video and Showing Info

More photos and a video tour will be taken and uploaded to this listing soon after the yacht has been uncovered and commissioned this early spring. Currently all the upper deck furniture and other items are stowed for the winter in the main salon so the boat is not reflective of its true condition when everything is in its proper place. With shrink wrap the exterior is also not much to see right now.  We should start seeing covers coming off boats over the next few weeks. That said, we are activating this listing now for the experienced boaters who can see past a vessel's normal winterized condition to the well maintained and upgraded yacht this one is.

Owner financing not available, however we can refer you to some excellent marine financing specialists if needed.

Private showings available to qualified buyers by appointment on Tuesdays - Saturdays. Listing broker must be present for all showings.

Dinghy in Pics no longer available

The dinghy and outboard have been sold and are not available.
