Beneteau OCEANIS-38-1 - main image

2020 Beneteau Oceanis 38.1

location icon Essex, United States
Year 2020
Length 38 ft

Our most popular model the Oceanis 38.1 has just been delivered from Beneteau's Marion SC factory to our Essex CT office. This twin rudder, great sailing beauty is in process of having her bottom epoxied then painted, mast stepped, arch installed, full electronics calibrated, and as we say one of our lucky customers will only have "add water"!

The light oak interior and hull ports makes the interior of this 38.1 very different from the dark "down below" of older boats. Separate shower room, large aft stateroom, electric head and private forward cabin all add to this uniquely designed Oceanis. Fantastic sailing capabilities, and interior accommodations of a much larger boat, help explain the 38.1's popularity. Schedule your in person or virtual inspection now.

In the tradition of the latest 41.1, the Oceanis 38.1 cleverly combines practical features, performance, and elegance on boat sizes where function generally outweighs personalization:  the Oceanis range continues to stand by its desire to offer a wide choice to demanding customers.

The Oceanis 38.1’s chined hull offers particularly surprising cruising comfort. Good and taut to aft and low on the water, the rigidity under sail of this cruiser takes her further and faster, with exceptional stability. It is a joy to have two helm stations, a mainsail arch and a huge swim platform on a sailing yacht this size.

For the Italian design team, the challenge was to multiply the living spaces in the saloon and offer greater privacy in the owner cabin, while maintaining the visual perspective that her opening to the bow offered in previous versions.
The new L-shaped galley makes a facing seat saloon arrangement possible. The space has been well optimized to allow eight people to sit around the table.

Manufacturer Provided Description

In the tradition of the latest 41.1, the Oceanis 38.1 cleverly combines practical features, performance and elegance on boat sizes where function generally outweighs personalisation:  the Oceanis range continues to stand by its desire to offer a wide choice to demanding customers.

The new Oceanis 38.1 offers a performance to habitability ratio second to none on this size of cruising yacht. Length and beam on the waterline have been extended to the limit to make her quick to cut through the water, while increasing stability.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

The Oceanis 38.1’s chined hull offers particularly surprising cruising comfort. Good and taut to aft and low on the water, the rigidity under sail of this cruiser takes her further and faster, with exceptional stability. It is a real joy to have two helm stations, a mainsail arch and a huge swim platform on a sailing yacht this size.

INTERIOR DESIGN

For the Italian design team, the challenge was to multiply the living spaces in the saloon and offer greater privacy in the owner cabin, while maintaining the visual perspective that her opening to the bow offered in previous versions.  The new L-shaped galley makes a facing seat saloon arrangement possible. The space has been well optimised to allow eight people to sit around the table.

LIVING SPACES A PRIORITY

Designed to suit a variety of sailing programmes and increasingly different lifestyles on board, the Oceanis 38.1 is available respectively in 6 versions with varied layouts: number of cabins and bathrooms, modularity of the saloon, choice of galley, storage capacity, etc.

SEPERATE OWNER CABIN

Now accessed by a double door, the owner cabin offers wonderful privacy.  This new separate space still has a pleasant forward view of the boat when the doors are open.

TAILOR-MADE INTERIOR ATMOSPHERES

Light Oak or Mahogany Alpi: the Oceanis 38.1 offer a choice between a contemporary light oak or more classic Mahogany Alpi atmosphere. Once the cabinet work has been decided upon, a wide choice of linings and upholstery colours and materials adds the finishing personal touches.
