Overview
OVERVIEW
The Beneteau Oceanis 48 is a classic sailing vessel, sloop rigged, built for recreational cruising but fully capable of blue water passages. It has a bulb keel, spade rudder and deck stepped mast. The arrangement of the cockpit provides good visibility and that along with roller furling on both the main and head sail plus fairleads being led aft can accommodate sailing solo as well as with a crew or guests. Below decks is a large cabin which combines comfort, modern styling and functionality. Sleeping accommodations include a forward master stateroom with its own head, double convertible dinette and two aft cabins each with a double berth. There is a full sized galley, chart station and a second stand-up head with shower. There is extensive use of wood for bulkheads, cabinetry and trim. Extras on this particular vessel include a bow thruster, power winches, complete electronics, generator and inverter. Power comes from a 75 hp Yanmar turbocharged diesel inboard engine.
