Mitsou is a well cared for 2 Cabin 1 Head Hunter 38.

The Hunter 38 arrived in 2004 as Glen Henderson’s replacement for the Hunter 386, which had been production for 7 years.  It carried Hunter Marine’s well-earned  reputation for favoring creature comforts over outright performance.  Henderson, appointed chief designer and engineer in 1999, built the design around the accommodations and cockpit, with a rig intended to make shorthanded cruising undemanding.  

That emphasis is clear throughout the Hunter 38.

The cockpit is huge, well laid out and thanks to the stainless steel arch the mainsheet traveler is well clear of those sitting under it.  The cockpit also has a pair of the best double push pit seats I’ve seen.

Down below, you’ll find Mitsou has a very comfortable, well designed interior that uses every bit of extra space for storage.  Her large aft stateroom feels more like a real bed complete with headboard than a berth on a sailboat.

Overall, Mitsou is a great boat for a couple or family looking an easy sailing and comfortable boat.
