Scout, is a true expedition yacht and set up for extended cruising.

Scout has double the solar of most R-27s for a total of 400 Watts with two Victron MPT controllers.  She also has the larger Lithium bank for a total of 900 amp hours.  Scout can run her AC for close to 6 hours just on battery power.

As for being connected, she’s extremely well equipped with Starlink Mini, Marine LTE High Power Wi-Fi Antenna, Poynting OMNI 403 Antenna, Peplink Router (dual SIM, Ethernet, WAN, Wi-Fi) and a Peplink MAX BRI mini 5G Cellular Receiver.

Scout also had custom canvas work done by Seafarer Canvas in Norwalk CT.  This includes a full cockpit enclosure with Eisen Glass, cockpit extendable seating covers, a closet cover forward and flag cover.

The curved front windshield and overhead glass atrium provide beautiful 360 degree views and generous light throughout the salon. Open the aft glass bulkhead in tandem with any of the hatches, windows, or port lights to deliver a fresh breeze throughout the cabin.  The full galley complete with a propane stove and oven with broiler, or to simply grill on the removable electric Kenyon grill is a Chef’s delight. Scout’s head is spacious and is also a freshwater head to eliminate odors.  

When taking in a gorgeous sunset, you and your guests can enjoy the view from the spacious cockpit complete with refrigerator or from the new double lounge seat on the bow of the R-27.
